Madness: Punch

"Nice."

submission: Madness: Punch
date: September 22, 2009

Extremely simple, and yet so meaningful... the cigarette was a metaphor of the inverse relationships we have with the problems we meet with every day, and the punch was simply a daring, yet futile attempt at escape from one's own consciousness. The fact that they had legs (unusual in Madness characters) signified their will to run, and yet the lack of running meant that though they tried so hard, nothing they could do mattered in the end. The drab, grey textures were like a blank canvas, and your Madness characters the effigies of so many lives lost to purposeless oblivion dancing across it to the brink, but never quite crossing over. Over to what, you might ask... we can never know. It makes the movie all the more meaningful to me.

In other words, it was short but good. The punch surprised me. It was funny. Good animation. Please to make another. Thanks.

xiao and the flag problem

"Huh."

date: September 16, 2009

My first thought was "This is hilariously bad animation," mostly because the stickmen were constantly moving like jellyfish. Then after seeing the white guy punch the green one, listening to sound effects, watching explosions etc. I realized that this is actually really good. I don't know if you tried to make the stick men move all the time, but it was really funny. The sound effects were great... it's funny how sound effects go out of style, but it's true. These reminded me of the good ol' days with Defend Your Castle and such. The "Yes!" noise was awesome too. It was simple animation, but it worked just fine. All in all, I really liked it. I also cracked up when the pink guy walked up with the "Boss" tag... all he really had was some dynamite, and he killed himself. Sorry, this is long... in a nutshell, it was great and I hope you make more.

Wade Tha Cow

"Loved it!"

submission: Wade Tha Cow
date: September 15, 2009

This was really pretty amazing. It was catchy, simple, polished, and hilarious. If I could do flash, this is the kind of stuff I'd make. CasusUniversum, yeah, you could call it "pointless." And then again, it's the truly heartwarming story of a clock wine bottle who decides to do a good deed for a family with a cow-shaped hole in their lives. It's an important story morally and spiritually, and you can't run away from the truth by hiding behind a veil of angry comments. Please, watch it again... and be enlightened. You should know that here on Newgrounds, no one is judged except the judge. Except sometimes for race and gender. And occasionally for your opinions and religious beliefs. So, BASICALLY no one. Biblo, I will be watching out for more of your work in the future. Thank you.

Castle Repercussions - D2

"Unbelievable."

date: September 5, 2009

I'm speechless. You made this entire series in a way that we could watch for free. I mean, I feel bad not paying to have seen that. It was, like I said, unbelievable. The animation was fluid, flawless, and incredibly detailed. The sound effects were perfect, and the voice acting was simply professional. Whoever played Mullins and Boomer, specifically, deserves a pizza. The same goes for Aleksander Vinter, who's music could have been in the soundtrack of any number of great movies, from Lord of the Rings to The Matrix. Amazing job. Above all of these, however, is the story. I saw Castle II a short while after it came out and thought a sequel would be pretty cool, maybe a bigger castle and some more weapons... but this blew me away. There's over ten main characters with names, which is really unusual in any movie. There's a good reason for that: they can't all be memorable. But in this, I identified with each and every one of them; I felt like I knew them. The castle idea was unique from the beginning, but this was a masterpiece. If you haven't already, you need to turn this into a DVD. At the very least you'd make some money, but you'd also open your work up to people who don't watch flashes. I'd buy it for sure. Please, please make more. I need to know what happened to Lloyd. Thank you!

Pencilmation #8

"Cool!"

submission: Pencilmation #8
date: August 31, 2009

I love pencil flashes for some reason, and this one rocked. It looks like a ton of work went into it, and everything from the animation to the sound quality was excellent. You've got serious skills, so why not make a longer flash with a good story? This one was funny but simple, and a really interesting one would be cool. Great job, hope to see more!

The Rise of Diablo (DEMO)

"Fun!"

date: August 31, 2009

It's pretty addicting, even without the visuals. Maybe it's cause I love games like Zork so much, but this isn't bad at all. Not as complex as most games on here, obviously, but I think it's just as fun. Also... it doesn't lag. The guy below me is right but for me the Inn restored everything, so maybe it only glitched for him. Anyways, it's really fun and simple, and a lot easier to figure out than most other Newgrounds games... I mean, there weren't any instructions or anything, it's pretty easy to figure out. Great job!

Girlchan in Paradise Ep1

"AWESOME!"

date: August 31, 2009

I was cracking up the entire time, which sucks cause it's 3 in the morning and my parents are asleep. It was probably the funniest thing I've seen on here, just because I've seen all the crappy plot twists and ridiculous animation cliches you're making fun of. I'd show it to my parents if Girlchan wasn't so... gifted. My favorite part was probably the "I can only use because of my........bloodline." GASP. Yep, it was amazing. All your movies are amazing, but this one especially so. Good work. Also, you should make a G or PG movie some day, so my mom can experience the Awesome without biting my ear off because of bad...ness... yeah, so, make more movies. Good day.

Dont over do it

"Confusion."

submission: Dont over do it
date: August 31, 2009

The beginning pissed me off a ton, and I don't know why. Then he danced a lot, which was actually pretty realistic... I mean, I could see Tony Jaa of someone actually doing that. Then he broke his neck, and the true meaning came across: Don't Over Do It. Or You Will Die. I wasn't sure what to think, so I retired to my zen relaxation garden. After forty days and forty nights of constant meditation on the theme and moral of this animation, I've realized that it was pretty well animated, obnoxiously music'd (can't think of a better word) and rather hilarious. It was pretty short, so you probably didn't put too too much work into it, but I know how long these things take, so I'll give you extra points for the inevitable frustration that comes with making these things. To break it down for you anti-absurdly-long-review-wizards: Decent animation, annoying music, good humor, relevant moral, 8 stars. Peace be with you.

FRED - Animated Series

"Awesome."

date: August 24, 2009

I personally think Fred is pretty funny, but among the hordes of people who just yell that he's gay, you stand out. That's not an insult, I can tell you put a lot of work into this, and it's actually really funny too. Great animation, simple plot, fun sound effects. My only problem is that it's too short to be truly amazing. One question: why is that guy crying when he shoots Fred?
